Informed advice for life's big moments
When it comes to your financial future, it’s important that you have someone who understands where you are at this point in your life, can proactively help you make good decisions now for when life’s big moments come and most importantly, you trust. We pride ourselves on being that trusted advisor.

Mortgages
We know that buying a property is an important investment and we want to be by your side every step of the way. Our qualified and experienced team of financial consultants will find the best mortgage deal for you and your circumstances, from the whole of the market.
- Buying your first home – You’ll be classified as a first-time buyer if you, or anyone you are buying with, are purchasing your first property.
- New-build – These homes are different to those on established properties. We have a dedicated new-build team that understand the lenders’ complicated and intricate criteria in this sector.
- Remortgaging – You could save money by switching lenders, or simply getting a better deal from your current lender. We’ll help you find the best deal for your circumstances.
- Buy-to-Let – Not going to live in the property? That’s ok – there are specialist mortgages for that.

Protection
“If I had my way, I would write the word ‘insure’ over every door of every cottage and upon the blotting pad of every public man, because I am convinced that, for sacrifice that are conceivably small, families can be secured against catastrophes which otherwise would smash them forever.” Winston Churchill

Equity Release
Equity release is a way of releasing cash from your home, generally for those over the age of 60, although some products are available to the over 55s. There are certain conditions you must meet before taking out equity release and we always sit down for a complimentary chat to explain and discuss, making sure that this is the right decision and ensuring all other possible avenues have been explored.
- Lifetime mortgage equity release – This is the most common type of equity release. You borrow money secured against your home. The mortgage is usually repaid from the sale of your home when you die or move permanently into residential care.
- Home reversion plan – You raise money by selling all or part of your home while continuing to live in it until you die or move into permanent residential care. JLP Financial does not offer any advice, recommendation or arrangement on any Home Reversion Plans.
Your home is at risk and may be repossessed if you do not keep up repayments on a mortgage or any other loan secured against it.
“Darren, you and your team were not only very professional taking us through the re-mortgage and new purchase process, but also very kind, understanding, prompt in your actions, taking time to explain and clarify all doubts and answer all questions we raised. We are extremely satisfied with your services and thank you sincerely for helping us secure a beautiful home. We will recommend your services to friends and family and most certainly come back to you when we need to remortgage. Thank you so much for everything Darren.”
